Derek has an obsession with standing. He pulls himself up everywhere which is usually ok. The problem is in his crib. Yesterday I come into his room because he is crying. He is crying because he is standing in his crib and wants out. It took me 4 times of going into his room, laying him back down, and telling him to go to sleep. He finally slept for an hour. Little turkey!

Hi doggie

So I thought I would get a picture of Lucky sitting next to Derek. Bad choice. Lucky was hesitant to sit next to Derek... for good reason. As soon as I get ready to take the picture, bam, he hits her with his book (a love tap I am sure). I take away the book and then he goes to "pet" her. Mmm I wonder why Lucky stayed away after that?

Me? What did I do? Aren't I just adorable?

Here is my giraffe. As long as I have giraffe, all is good. I think giraffe is my phone to talk to.

Derek update: tooth #2 is just breaking through. Derek is everywhere! He is crawling to the couch, pulling himself up to a standing position, and walking along the couch. Yesterday he even walked between 2 chairs. Our little boy is getting big fast.

Laundry day is a great day.

Derek has a new fun toy, the laundry basket. He likes to push it,try to pull it, and play in it. He really liked when I put him in it and zoomed around the house. We even used it to play peek-a-boo. Laundry day is a fun day.

Yeah. Derek likes his tunnel. He crawled through it for the first time today. Go Derek!

Playing at the Park

We had a great weekend. We had friends over for dinner on Friday, celebrated a friend's birthday on Saturday, and went to the park on Sunday. We ended up driving the great distance to the park (less than a mile) because it was about 90 degrees. The dogs had fun playing catch. Derek enjoyed picking grass and climbing Mt. Daddy. It was really nice in the shade and not too warm for Derek. Another great weekend!
