Wisconsin weekend

Derek and I had a great weekend in WI. Linnea was a beautiful bride. She and Dustin are now in Cabo!

Derek had great fun with Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Alli. We had fun at home and at the park.

Hi Grandma! I can't wait to see you, Grandpa, and Auntie Alli tomorrow night. Mommy is hoping I won't be too wiggly on the plane.

Here I am in front of the sliding glass door. I love to stand up, lean on the door, and look outside. I really like the squirrels in the yard. I must be like my mommy. Grandma- do I need Ernie and Bert slippers too? Do you think Lucky or Alex will catch one like Lightening did?

See you tomorrow. Mommy and I are SO excited to see you all and see Miss Linnea get married. See my Oshkosh pants? I am getting in the cheesehead mode so I am wearing them today.

The Xylophone

We bought Derek a xylophone, We thought he might like to make music. What he likes is the mallet. He chews on it. Mmm. He crawls with it in his hand. Mostly, though, he uses it to beat on everything. It is his personal weapon of choice. The boy instinct of turning everything into a weapon has settled in already. So I guess he does make music with the mallet; he just has never used the mallet on the xylophone. Bang bang bang on the fireplace, crawl to the cabinet...bang bang bang. The boy has the gift of noise!
