Elmo rocks

D loves all things Elmo so imagine his glee when he found these slippers! He has been wearing them all over the house. My favorite is D in the slippers leading his "puppy" by the lease. Puppy is a puppy puppet with a string tied around his neck (Geema's fun invention). D and puppy walk all around. D tells the puppy where they are going, runs him for a while, and then puts him in bed for a nap.

Name that bird

This crazy bird flew into our yard this weekend. He is about 2 feet tall with long tail feathers. We tried finding him in our NW birds book but we are stumped. Derek loves the book and is often telling us what he sees (adorable). I say the bird is a kind of pheasant. MIke is not sure. Any ideas?

Grins

Will (on left) and Nate are very smiley. They are both sweet little guys. Will usually has the deer in the headlights look for pics. Natey usually has more smiles. The big smiles remind me so much of Derek at this age.

Will and Nate had their 6 month old check ups today. They are actually at 5% for height and weight on the 6 month scale and that is not for their adjusted age. Woo hoo!! The doctor was very happy for where they are at. He is quite surprised that they still are exclusively breast fed and sleep through the night. They put on quite the show with their grins and giggles. Our little peanuts are 11 pounds. Good job boys!

Family of 5 at the table

All 5 of us are now at the table for meals. Will (bottom picture) used Derek's old high chair and Nate is using one given to us (thanks Julie). Will and Nate really like to sit up these days. They are not ready for solid foods yet but like to sit and be part of the action.

Derek decided he really didn't like sitting at the table just on a chair because he couldn't reach very well. He didn't like sitting on his knees. Then D stood up and fell over backwards in the chair. We are very thankful he was not hurt but we were sad that he was scared. So we bought D a new booster seat. He really likes it (plus we like being able to belt him in as needed).

Before and After swing set!

The swing set is done. Mike and Bumpa did an amazing job! Derek loves his new climbing wall. The old ladder was very unsafe and there was no platform. It is so cool now. Mike showed Derek how to climb and Derek followed him up. Crocs may not have been the best choice for footwear but Derek had no problem. After screaming in joy down the slide, Bumpa said, his smiles make it all worth it. Awww. Derek spent tons of time out there trying it out. We could hear his screams of glee from inside. So fun!

Working on the swing set!

Daddy and Bumpa are fixing my swing set. It needed a new ladder so Daddy thought it would be cool to put in a climbing wall and a platform. I am doing my bestest to help! Wait to you see the pictures!

Trying to sit

My mom and I decided to have a little photo op for the boys. We leaned them against each other. They really like to sit and did really well. Now to get both boys smiling!
