The giraffe and the pumpkins

Will and Nate have a new obsession: their giraffe. I thought Sophie the Giraffe was all hype but no it is wonderful. Yes they are insanely expensive but I think it is worth it. The boys love to gnaw on it. They love her so much I think I am going to buy another one so they each can have one.

Here is a pic of D with our bounty of pumpkins we grew. He was being silly and having fun playing with them and telling me who should get each one.

Pumpkin farm... with tractors

We went to Lee farms to enjoy the great fall day. They had goats, chickens, and pigs which were just ok for D. They had TRACTORS!! Ahh life is good. We had to touch, ride, and ooh and ahh over all of them. D also said he wanted to try the big slide. His uncertain look says it all- we only did it once.

We didn't buy any pumpkins because we grew our own this year. We have at least 7 big pumpkins. D enjoyed watching them grow. They have taken over. We also had a bounty of tomatoes, basil, cukes, lettuce, and other herbs. I am pretty sure our garden did so well because Mike hauled tons of compost into our raised bed. We have enjoyed our yummy foods. It is fun to teach D through our garden.

Cheerios

Will and Nate like cheerios! They are able to pick them up on their own (year pincher grasp) and manage to get it into their mouths some of the time. D likes to feed them as well.

Listen babies

Derek has been quite the entertainer lately. He grabbed his Elmo piano book, started playing the keys, and singing along. Listen babies he says I am singing!

D earned a train

Derek decided he wanted to wear unders and he did. There really have not been many accidents. He loves to tinkle on the big potty. He has been a bit reticent about #2. While we were at Target, he saw a train he wanted. I told him he could have it if he pooped on the potty. Several days later, the train was his. This has been so easy. This is why we waited until he was ready!

Clifford Day

Derek had a great time at school for Clifford Day and came home wearing fun ears. Apparently there was a nose too that was left behind so D used his hands to show it.
