Big truck day

We all went to a fantastic event at a local park and rec. They brought in tons of big trucks: from construction trucks to firetrucks to limos. The kiddos could all sit in them and drive. They also could beep the horns on lots of them (imagine tons of littles crying and very very loud noises). Derek was loving it. Even Will and Nate took turns driving. After a while Naters (in blue) got bored and MIke took him by the sidewalk. Nate spent the next half hour learning to climb the curb by walking. He was quite focused. WIlls was tired so he chilled in the ergo on my back. We all had lots of fun. What a great Saturday morning.

Camping in the backyard

Mike has wanted to camp in the backyard with Derek all summer. It finally was warm enough to do it. We set up the tent in the afternoon and all 3 kiddos had a blast running around in circle in the tent and yelling. After Will and Nate were in bed, we had a fire and roasted marshmallows. Derek loved the smores. Later it was time for bed. I did not plan well and we all went to the tent too early. I was just going to hang out withe them for a bit and come inside to be near the littles. Well- with all sugar coursing through his system and the excitement of a sleeping bag, Derek was wide awake. We all ended up sleeping inside. We will try attempt #2 later this month.

The zoo

MIke had Friday off so we headed to the zoo. The boys went in by the goats but only Derek wanted to pet one. They all enjoyed the monkeys. We all went through the dinosaur exhibit and had lots of fun. It was a great morning with Daddy. Will is in stripes.

Sprinkler time

80 degrees days have come to Oregon and the sun too. It is warm out so it is sprinkler time. Will and Nate are not so sure that they like them (Will in white hat). They mostly walked around the outside of them. Derek loved them. He ran through screaming. He told me he was taking a shower.

Also, Happy Birthday Auntie Alli. We miss you lots and are so glad you are having tons of fun in Spain.

New Haircuts

The boys got new haircuts. Will's cut (on left) is a bit shorter to help him look a bit different from Nate. Silly Derek is giving me a face after I told him not to smile.

I fed myself

Nate fed himself yogurt with a spoon. It was a messy first time bu the had lots of fun.
