Toolbox

BIg day for Derek. Daddy gave him his very own cordless drill that is just his size. Then D and Daddy built a tool box to hold his new set of tools. They also started a bird house. I am not sure who was having more fun but there were lots of smiles. D is blessed by such a wonderful Daddy who loves to spend time with him and teach him new skills. Our D is getting so big!

BIg boy blankets

Will and Nate got new bedding and big boy pillows. Will lays down under his blankets and on his pillow and loves it. Nate throws it all out of the crib. Silly boys. Yesterday at nap time Nate draped his comforter over the side rail, threw out the pillow, and made a fort out of the whole deal. He was giggling and playing in there was a good half hour before he fell asleep.

Danny the dinosaur wanted to use the computer too

Racing cars

A favorite past time for Will (on left) and Nate is running cars up and down the hallway. They use small, big, and push cars. Usually D plays too and it becomes a demolition derby. There is lots of laughing and screaming along the way. Usually someone ends up in tears after being run over. After a quick snuggle they are back in action.

Will and Nate got new lenses for their glasses after scratching them up. Thankfully new lenses are covered in the insurance.

Kisses for Nate

Nate was sound asleep on the couch during nap time part 2. Will came over to check him out. I tried to shoo him away thinking he was coming to poke him and wake him up (what usually happens to the second one awake). This time though Will came in, climbed on Nate, and gave him a kiss. It was adorable. He kept doing it and also gave him snuggles. It was very sweet and Will was very proud of himself.

My family

We are fun, quirky, loyal, crazy, and nurturing. We are the Isler Christensen family. Thanks for coming Geema, Bumpa, Auntie Alli, and Lucky, We are excited to see you again.. hopefully soon!

Thankful

I am blessed. My mom and my sister are amazing. They are my closest female friends. My mom is an example of selflessness and fun wrapped together. My sister is kind, generous, and hysterical. Our times alone this week with make me laugh and sustain me until we are together again. They encouraged me and made me laugh all week. They spent lots of time loving my kids and loving Mike and me. I was so sad to see them leave but so thankful for the time we had.
