Bye Alli

Our fantastic week with Alli has ended- boo!  We had a such a fun week. The boys loved playing hooky from school and going to the zoo and riding the train with her.  We also had a great time in the jumpers and climbing at Safari Sams.  We had great sunny weather most of the week.

We miss you already Alli!

Fun with Alli

There has been no alone time for Alli also known as eye-eye here.  She is not alone on the couch unless the kiddos are asleep.  Even Bucky needs Alli snuggle time.  We have had a fun week.

Happy Easter

We all love Easter. We are so thankful for Jesus and for His gift to us by giving His life on the cross and raising from the dead.  He is risen! He is risen indeed!

We did an Easter hunt at church and one on Easter at home.  At church it was sunny and 60 degrees- not a usual spring day here in OR.  Our little Oregonians were not sure about the sun and the glare it caused.  Silly kids!

At home they started with bunny (Will in orange) and flower hats and they switched to cowboy hats (an Easter gift from Mike's parents).   Alli was here visting and enjoy the festivities with us!

Happy birthday Daddy!

The boys were so excited for Mike's birthday- well really for dessert.  D and I made a carrot cake for him.  The boys willingly all ate graham crackers with frosting as a reward for helping (a great trick learned from my mom).

We are so thankful for Mike. He is a wonderful husband and fantastic Daddy.  He is the best!

Soccer

Derek was very excited to play indoor soccer again this spring.  Will and Nate were quite upset they were not able to play so each game day Will and Nate wore shinguards and cheered for D.  Many parents giggled at how cute they looked.

D enjoys playing goalie the most. In his words, he gets to be in charge and touch the ball.  Yup that is our D- mr. bosseypants.

Valentine's Day

Will (in camo) and Nate were very excited about their heart crowns they made at school.  They were also very happy that V-day included chocolate.  We made chocolate fondue and dipped marshmallows, pretzels, pound cake, and strawberries. It was a huge hit. Wills (our chocoholic) even licked out his bowl.  It was lots of fun

Timbers game

Mike and I went to the Timbers game (that we won at the SSA auction).  It was great!  We had pretty amazing seats- right at the midfield and very close.  Part of the fun of these seats was the free food and drinks.  During the game, people come around with hot dogs, pretzels, drinks, ice cream, licorice, and more.  In the beginning it was a it distracting with food flying.  They literally throw it to you if you are not right by them.  At the end you get free voodoo donuts and coffee (thankfully not thrown)

When the timbers score, timber Joey gets out his chainsaw and starts cutting.    They also set off tons of green smoke.   The Timbers lost but we had a great time.  The boys had a great (and well-behaved) evening with the babysitters.
