Derek's first "pet"

Derek has his first pet- and it is Max the mixer. He loves to carry it around, take it for "walks" and play with it. He found it in a drawer that he previously could not reach. I can only think he sees the cord as a leash. Why do we buy him toys when he spends most of the time playing with items from the kitchen?

The best comment of the day had to be Mike. He said- I think mixer needs some alone time. It went back into the drawer and I laughed for 10 minutes.

Mike left today to spend the week in San Jose. We will miss him lots and lots.
